Does this car seat need to be used with the top tether if installed ff with a shoulder belt
Aroha
  • Hi Aroha
Thank you for your inquiry.  The top tether strap improves the stability of installation when forward facing, so it's recommended to use but not required. We hope this helps answer your query.

Can this seat be tethered into the car??
I am looking for a car seat that is easier to install than the one we have now! The one we have now the seat belt wraps around the back of the seat (Rf) which means it cuts across the door and is really hard to get bubs in and out of.
Megan

Will this seat fit 3 across with other seats?
Hi there, Am just wondering if this car seat would fit three across with an evenflo symphony lx and a safety first convertible seat in a Mazda CX-9? The safety first and diono would be forward facing and the evenflo rear facing. Thanks

Carseat for a 3 year old
Hi We are looking for a carseat for our 3 year old who is approx 14kg. He is forward facing. We need it to have isofix, not be too wide as we have another child, able to last him for a few years and preferably under $500. Any recommendations? Thanks.
Miriam
  • Hi Miriam, Thank you for your enquiry, we would reccommend the Diono Radian RXT its alittle above $500 at $549 but it is one of our most popular seats. The RadianRXT is a highly versatile car seat that could be the only seat you’ll even need. It comfortably seats rear-facing children from 2.3 – 20kg, forward-facing children from 9 – 36kg in a 5-point harness, then converts to a booster for children from 22 – 54kg. It’s built for strength and safety with a steel alloy frame, reinforced sidewalls, adjustable head support and our patented SafeStop® energy absorbing harness. EPS foam surrounds the child’s head and body to provide complete side impact protection. Our unique SuperLATCH system makes installation easy. For further information on this or any of our other products available, if you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you to our online store finder. Is the rear facing attachment same as the Diono RXT?
I am looking for something for my son who will be 23months old to move into and continue rear facing in when our new bubs is born. He is currently in a Diono RXT. Unfortunately, our car only has the gap in between the seats in the middle where the rear facing attachment anchors into. Is this model the same?
Leann Lamb
  • Hi Leann, Thank you for the enquiry. The Olympia has an exterior Shoulder width of 45.72cm and Interior Shoulder width of 33.02cm. The RXT has an outside width of 43.2cm and Seat width of 38.1cm, both are installed using the latch system, with the RXT capable of Fitting 3-across the back in a mid-size vehicle, offering more shoulder space. Other dimension specifications for these seats can be found if you click on the pink "specifications" tab allocated next to the product image online. If you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you to our online store finder where you can find contact details for your nearest Baby On The Move store. Where does the tether strap attach to?
Does the Diono Olympia tether to the bolt in the boot of the car or to the front?
Felicity
  • Hi Felicity, Thank you for your enquiry. The Diono Olympia tether strap should be attached to the floor (using the extra tether connector strap aswell) when the seat is rear facing or to the anchor point in the boot when the seat is forward facing. Installation for this seat can be using the LATCH or seat belt and it is highly recommended to use the tether strap. If you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you to our online store finder where you can find contact details for your nearest Baby On The Move Store. Between the Radian RXT, Olympia, Cambria and the Rainier, which seat is the narrowest at it's widest point?
Jay
  • Hi Jay, Thank you for your enquiry. This range of Diono car seats all vary in width dimensions. As per the specifcations listed the widths of these are as follows: Radian RXT outside width -  43.2cm, Olympia exterior shoulder width - 45.72cm, Camria Booster Seat width - 49.5cm and Rainiertop width - 45.72cm. Therefore this would indicate that the Diono Radian RXT is the narrowest of this range. However, before selecting a child restraint, it is important to take into account the child's weight, height and age, any physical, developmental and behavioural considerations, the type of restraint and vehicle. If you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you our online store finder where you can find your nearest Baby On The Move store. Diono Olympia vs Diono Radian RXT
HI, Can you please tell me what the difference between the Diono Olympia and Diono Radian RXT is please. They look and from specs are exactly the same. Thanks so much.
Kate Port
  • Hi Kate, Thank you for your enquiry. Firstly the Diono Olympia has a slightly wider seat shell compared to the Diono Radian RXT, but the main difference being the Diono Radian RXT has the adjustable reinforced head rest for complete side impact protection and the infant and toddler cushioned inserts for full body support.
