Meet your new go-to for postpartum comfort — the Sitz Bath by Maia Mum.
Birth is a wild ride (no matter how your baby made their grand entrance), and your body deserves all the gentle care it can get. This sitz bath sits securely over your toilet and gives you an easy, calming way to take a soak without any fuss or splashing dramas.
Just add warm or cool water — and any extras your midwife approves — then take a seat and let the soothing begin. The built-in pump makes emptying a breeze, and when you’re finished, it folds down flat like the tidy little space-saver it is.
Perfect for:
✨ Postpartum recovery
✨ Perineal care or haemorrhoid discomfort
✨ C-section mums who still want that soothing soak moment
✨ A tiny bit of “me time”
Features:
* Folds flat for simple storage
* Fits most standard toilets
* Easy to use removable pump
* Smooth, comfy edges
* Made with sturdy, BPA-free materials
Because recovery might be messy… but your comfort doesn’t have to be.
How to use:
Set Up on Your Toilet
Open your sitz bath and place it securely on top of your toilet seat. Make sure it’s flat, stable, and the pump hose isn’t kinked.
Fill with Water
Add warm or cool water to the bowl — whichever your midwife recommends.
The overflow vents will stop spills, so just fill to a comfortable level.
Add Optional Extras
With midwife approval, add a small amount of salt or a postpartum-safe herbal infusion for extra soothing.
Sit & Relax
Gently lower yourself onto the bath and soak for 10–20 minutes.
The water will help soothe swelling, tenderness, stitches, and general postpartum discomfort.
Use the Built-In Pump for Extra Relief
Squeeze the hand pump to create a gentle, refreshing water flow.
Great for targeted relief
Helps keep the water circulating
Extra soothing on tender or healing areas
Pump as often or as softly as you like — you’re in control.
Empty & Clean
Stand up slowly, pour out the water into the toilet, rinse the sitz bath with warm soapy water, and leave it to air dry or wipe dry.
Use as Often as You Need
Most mums use it daily during the postpartum period — or more often if recommended by their midwife.
