What is the minimum height required between top of child's head and top of headrest when headrest is extended as far as it can go. Rear facing.
Need to know when the seat is outgrown rear facing. So when the top of the head is in line with the top of the headrest or before?
Haylee
  • Hi Haylee, Thank you for your enquiry, the height and weight limits for rear facing is  2.3-18 kg and 48-101.6 cm this will coincide with the use of the headrest. We hope this helps. For further information on this or any of our other products available, if you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you to our online store finder. What is the quality of fibre inside the seat?
Is the fire retardant fabric used over what is needed to comply with standard?
Helen Webb
  • Hi Helen, Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, the Safety 1st Guide 65 uses a fire retardant fabric which has been tested and complies with (not exceeds) New Zealand and factory standard. If you are seeking a car seat which does not use this type of fabric, we would recommend the Diono RXT in Storm colour. As of 18th March 2016, we are currently hoping to recieve a new shipment of this popular seat colour by May 2016. For further information on this or any of our other products available, if you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you to our online store finder. Distance between back seat and front seat when rear facing?
Hi, I've got quite a small car and was wondering what the distance is when using this seat in maximum recline, in rear facing position.
Saskia
  • Hi Saskia, thank you for your enquiry. If you click on the pink "specifications tab " on our product page this will take you direct to the dimensions and product information for the Safety 1st Guide 65. Car installation is free at our Baby OnThe Move stores when a restraint is purchased with Baby On The Move. However Installation fees are at the franchisees/stores discretion when a customer has requested to price match or is looking to install a seat purchased elsewhere. Regarding suitability for your vehicle, sadly not all car seats fit all vehicles. There are many factors that affect a child restraint fitting a vehicle such as length of seat belt, position of seat belt buckle on a long stem, contours of vehicle seat, height of passenger and space allowed behind the seat for rear facing and size of child car seat may just be too big for the vehicle. Due to this we always recommend contacting your nearest store. If you follow the link http://www.babyonthemove.co.nz/store-locations/ this will take you to our online store finder where you can find contact details for your nearest Baby On The Move Store. Here, one of our expert Car Restraint Technicians can assist in helping you with finding the right car seat for you, your child and your vehicle. We hope this has helped with your query.
