Baby Proofing the Living Areas
☐ Secure large furniture such as bookshelves, drawers and TV units to the wall
☐ Anchor televisions so they cannot tip forward
☐ Cover unused electrical outlets with safety plugs
☐ Keep blind and curtain cords secured well out of reach
☐ Check floors regularly for small choking hazards such as coins, batteries or pen lids
☐ Add corner protectors to sharp furniture edges
☐ Keep small objects, remotes and fragile items out of reach
Kitchen Safety
☐ Install cupboard or drawer locks where knives, chemicals or breakables are stored
☐ Store cleaning products in high cupboards where possible
☐ Turn pot handles inward while cooking
