Classic Infant Care sheepskins and Infant products are made using specially selected lambskins. Chosen for their unique softness and smaller size they produce the perfect baby rug.
All Classic Infant Care sheepskins are from New Zealand and are sustainably sourced from our partner supply groups. The tanning process is completed entirely in our factory in Napier, New Zealand ensuring we control the entire process. Our tanning process is chrome free and no formaldehyde or arsenic is added. This, along with independent testing ensures that our baby rugs are safe for special little ones.
The soft, cosy fibres in natural sheepskin create a warm, familiar space for babies, helping them to feel safe and secure.
Naturally hypoallergenic, wool is a safe fibre for baby to sleep and play on. We tan our sheepskins organically and they are treated with Tea Tree Oil and Lemon Myrtle Oil as a natural conditioner.
For our baby sheepskins we also use a conditioning treatment which prevents the ability for Dust Mite’s to live in the sheepskin and this process remains in the sheepskin even after washing therefore helping prevent babies from developing Asthma.
All our sheepskin baby rugs are machine washable and the wool can be easily spot cleaned.
