Dai no Osore, which translates to “Immense Dread”, is a plush dinosaur from 1950s Shinjuku.

He hails from mid-century Tokyo, a time when monster movies filled the screens, metal gave way to plastic, and shopfront creatures captured young imaginations. Is he a T-Rex? A Stegosaurus? Or a trick of movie magic?
