A very common concern for parents is what to do when it seems that you’ve tightened your child’s car seat and the harness is uneven. One of the straps is tight but the other is still very loose. We would recommend trying these troubleshooting steps below to see if it solves the problem.
No-Rethread Harness Troubleshooting Steps:
When loosening the harnesses pull both harness straps out at the same time, pulling one side can cause them to become uneven.
Next, we would like to walk you through the steps of resetting the Harness Straps.
First, raise the head rest to the highest position, fully loosen the harnesses and then fully tighten them.
You will then need to lower the head rest to lowest position, fully loosen the harnesses and then fully tighten them.
Repeat these steps one more time.

Awesome seat - fits perfectly in my car which had a few difficult workarounds (slippery leather, fixed headrests, very angled). The SnugLock function is amazing, although needed a lot of force to click in once the vehicle belt was tightened. Very roomy for my chonky boy as well, and he can reach the cup holders a lot easier in this seat than our old one.
The service provided was exceptional, exceeding our expectations. My granddaughter is highly satisfied with her new car seat.
Love our Graco we end up buying one for my mother inlaw car and my husband ute so have 3 in total my son in now 4.5 and is still in it and we have had it since he was 6 months old easy to use and install would highly recommend
We switched to the Graco TrioGrow SnugLock LX 3-in-1 after months of car-related stress. Our baby absolutely hated his capsule and car rides were filled with tears and anxiety - his and mine.
This car seat has made an incredible difference. From the very first ride, there were far fewer tears. The seat’s design is more open, with better head support and a slightly more upright position has made him so much more comfortable. He seems settled, and I finally feel like I can drive without the stress of constant screams in the back.
A special shoutout to Nikky from the Napier branch, who was amazing. She took the time to walk us through the installation, made sure everything was safe and secure, and gave us so much reassurance. Her knowledge and calm approach made a world of difference and really helped ease my own anxiety.
The SnugLock system made installation straightforward, and I love that this seat will grow with him over the next few years. If your baby struggles in the car like ours did, this seat..and the support from someone like Nikky, can truly be life changing.

I had previously purchased a new car seat from a different store and was disappointed to find it much too large for my compact SUV. Napier Baby on the Move were incredible! They helped me find an affordable option.. taking multiple car seats to try in my car. I can confirm this Graco car seat is compact, giving better legroom for the front seat passenger! I love it! It looks comfy and the cup holders are a bonus for holding dummy’s and stuffing in a bump cloth.
This seat is so easy to install (just as easy as our Britax clicktight), is really reasonably priced and because of its slim size we have heaps more space in our car. My daughter will be 4 in 2 months and can still rear face at 16kg. We are so happy with this seat.
We already had two Graco 4evers in my car but needed seats for my husbands ute & absolutely love mine so choosing two more Graco's was a no brainer.
My son is still rear facing & the Trio-grow is soo much easier to get him in & out, without the belt around the whole carseat.

We had our car seat fitted by the team at Baby on the Move chch who recommended the Graco Triogrow for our vehicle. Since then we have used our car seats in multiple vehicles and it’s a perfect fit every time!
We now have 2 children who are both in these car seats at different stages and I recommend them to everyone.
We have found that the Graco Triogrow is really quick to swap between vehicles and always feels secure regardless of whether you are using the isofix or the seatbelt. The snug lock clip makes sure the car seat doesn’t budge so you know your children are safe.
I have also found that washing the covers is really quick and easy and had no trouble working out how to put everything back on the car seat once dry.
We brought this car seat from Baby on the move Dunedin for our main vehicle for our daughter and she absolutely loves it. It is comfy, easy to use, practical with the cup holders and a lot better than the Phil and teds car seat we had initially purchased. We also like that it covers from newborn to booster seat. We are now going to purchase one for our second car so we don’t have to switch this one over all the time.
We hired this car seat for a week and drove long distances with no issues. Our baby was comfortable and happy from the moment he was strapped in. Easy to use, nice design and quick installation.
Love our Graco car seats. We have the trio grow snug lock for elder one easy to install in 5 mins and transfer between cars. And right next to that we have the graco slimfit for my younger daughter. BOTM were amazing at fitting them into our back seat of our car so I can sit on left passenger seat and not be in middle of two car seats. Loved we can use this whilst on an extended holiday in the US. It’s just super slim unlike other brands and easy to install. Grandparents find it easy too.
This is the car seat we bought for our second car, largely used around the city for shot rides... Well, we were recently rear ended, and had significant damage to both the front and rear of the car... Our boy barely moved, and didn't notice we were in an accident... The car seat protected him so well, this seat was the best thing I ever bought for this car. I am so thankful he was tucked in super well, and secure with the snuglock.. I am off to buy another one!!
After having the Graco capsule, upsizing to another trusted Graco car seat was a no brainer for us! We love the longevity of this product - offering both rear and front facing, we know that this will last our babe a long time and is very cost effective which is always a bonus! The installation is simple and the buckles are so easy to adjust. We also love the little holders at the front - perfect for a bottle, snack or in this case a seat for a furry friend! 100% would recommend this Graco carseat to all.
Absolutely love the the Graco seat we purchased from baby on the move Nelson. Such a comfy seat for our baby girl, transitioning from the capsule was seamless. Also big fan of the safety ratings for the seat and that she can stay in it for a long time. The cup holders also double as toy holders so keeps her super happy and relaxed.
We have had this car seat for two years and it is perfect. Easy to move between cars and quick to instal. Easy adjustments as our son has grown and the change from rear facing to forward facing was super easy. We find that forward facing still allows the seat to be semi reclined which is a bonus with our son still sleeping in the car so minimal head flop. We have loved it so much we recently purchased another one for our newest addition.
Purchased for our daughter as she outgrew her capsule, allowed both rear and forward facing. Easy to install with seat belt and was great to quickly switch between cars. The cup holders are great for her to keep her bottle or small toys in as she can reach them herself. She is comfy in it and sleeps really well for long journeys. Would definitely purchase for our second child.
We love our Graco triogrow our son is now 3 and a half and we have had this seat since he transitioned from a capsule. Great fit for our small car and amazing how it grows with him.

I brought two of these when pre order came a few years ago and it was the best thing i did. Children growing with the seat is such a seller for me and the easiest click install, made for an easy choice. I purchased a graco seat fromthe Taranaki store a few weeks ago and I love it and so does my toddler. It fits perfectly in my small car and in my husbands hilux and is so easy to transfer and install. Highly recommend :)
We bought a Graco Triogrow as a second seat for our almost 1 year old. We love it, it quickly became our main seat! Super easy to get a solid install and compact enough for ample front leg room in our CX-5 even on full recline. Would definitely recommend
When I was pregnant with our daughter I was always wanting a from birth all the way through car seats as it its less stress and we know it will fit our kids or any others that we have with us. I brought two of the Graco Triogrow Snuglock car seats and they arrived yesterday. I pulled one out stuck it in the car and was super easy to install. our daughter was super happy and fell asleep twice in it, must be comfy. Highly recommend and we will be buying more as we add children.
