Hi Greta, thank you for your enquiry, there is alot of difference between a harness and non harnessed booster, however, the man difference is weight, there is a limit to what a child can weight for a harnessed booster, from that they would go to a non harnessed seatbelt booster. It is well padded so good for long trips. My 8 year old is on one of the lowest settings so will have heaps of time in it.
And she loves the tri pink colour too
