Hi Stephanie, thank you for your inquiry, under the specifications tab on the Evenflow Symphony, it tells you that the lifespan is 8 years from the date of purchase, if this is purchased brand new, if this is purchased secondhand is will be 8 years from the date of manufacturer which will be stamped on the back of the seat usually in dials, one for year,day & month.
