Baby On The Move proudly presents Road Safety Hero Seatbelt Sam, here to champion safe travels!

Join Baby On The Move as we participate in Road Safety Week, running from May 12th to 18th, an initiative coordinated by Brake, the road safety charity, and proudly sponsored by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi and Beca. This year’s theme, Road Safety Heroes, celebrates the unsung champions who tirelessly work to make our roads safer, including emergency services personnel, road workers, Child Restraint Technicians, and school crossing patrols.

As part of our commitment to road safety, Baby On The Move will be conducting free car seat checks and installs at selected locations across New Zealand. Our mission is to ensure that every family can travel safely by providing tips and assistance with the correct installation of car seats.

Brake encourages everyone to acknowledge the efforts of those striving to enhance road safety and to become Road Safety Heroes themselves by prioritising safe practices on the road. By participating in Road Safety Week, you can inspire others to join the cause, empower schools to educate young individuals on road safety and encourage organisations to bolster their safety protocols for employees on the road.

In solidarity with the campaign, Baby On The Move will be showcasing our support by “Going Yellow” on Wednesday, May 14th, as part of the effort to raise awareness for road safety.

You can also get involved by spreading awareness about Road Safety Week or by nominating and celebrating your local Road Safety Hero. Brake will feature various heroes throughout the week, and communities and organisations are encouraged to recognise their heroes through ceremonies or social media platforms.

Caroline Perry, NZ Director at Brake, emphasises the importance of acknowledging these Road Safety Heroes and encourages everyone to adopt a hero mindset by taking proactive steps to keep themselves and others safe on the road.

Join us in commemorating Road Safety Week and together, let’s pave the way towards safer roads for all. Visit http://www.roadsafetyweek.org.nz/ to learn more.

You are invited to attend and participate in the various Road Safety Week events taking place throughout New Zealand. Let’s celebrate safe travels with Seatbelt Sam and our Road Safety Heroes!
